Osmundson is a lifelong resident of Clayton County, spending most of her time near the town of Volga.  She graduated from Central High School in Elkader.  After graduating, she married her husband, Steve.  The couple had seven kids and Anne stayed at home raising them while also working as a bookkeeper for their family business.

Having lived in the District for her whole life, Anne knows the communities and the people well.  “I’ll follow in Rep. Hager’s footsteps and work hard for Northeast Iowa in the Legislature and deliver results for our district,” said Osmundson.  “As a small business owner myself, I understand many of the problems our Iowa employers face.  In the Iowa House, I’ll work to cut burdensome red tape that stifles our job creators and ensure they have the workforce necessary for the careers of tomorrow.  I’ll put a priority on investing in education and ensure Iowans have access to affordable healthcare. I’ll do everything I can to make certain the future is bright for the next generation of Iowans.”

Anne serves on the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Commission as well as the Clayton County Judiciary Magistrate Appointing Commission.  She is also the Secretary for the Clayton County Republican Party.  For the last two years, Anne has served as a clerk to Rep. Kristi Hager in the Iowa House, connecting with constituents and helping them navigate state government.
